Bible Character Luke Search

Hebrew 11:13-15; 12:1-3

As we continue our character studies.. The Bible describes those who went before us as a great cloud of witnesses. The book of Hebrew only names a few, but we only actually have 15 weeks of research ahead of us. We will find that everyone that walked by faith did not make it in the final roll call list, just as all of us may not make it. We serve a God that is the same today, yesterday and forever more! Because of that, we should learn from their strength/weakness, serving, worshiping, and walking for God the same today, yesterday and forever more!

Luke

1.  Who is Luke and was he one of the original 12 disciples?  If not, where did he get the information for this book?  Provide scriptures in the New Testament.




2.  How did Luke proclaim Jesus's deity?  Provided exact scriptures from the book of Luke.






3.  How did Luke present Jesus to his audience?  Who was his audience?





4.  There are 6 things that Luke places more special emphasis on that any of the other 3 gospel.  We will discuss all 6 of them and 2 of the 6 are women and healing.  Provided scriptures for at least 2 occasions of how Mark give information about women and healing.



5. What life lessons do we get from his life?  Could you give names of anyone you were an effective witness of Jesus to?
