Bible Character Matthew Search
Hebrew 11:13-15; 12:1-3
As we continue our character studies.. The Bible describes those who went before us as a great cloud of witnesses. The book of Hebrew only names a few, but we only actually have 17 weeks of research ahead of us. We will find that everyone that walked by faith did not make it in the final roll call list, just as all of us may not make it. We serve a God that is the same today, yesterday and forever more! Because of that, we should learn from their strength/weakness, serving, worshiping, and walking for God the same today, yesterday and forever more!

1. Who is Matthew and what relationship did he have with Jesus? Provide scripture.
2. Who was Matthew intended audience?
3. How did Matthew present Jesus to his audience?
4. Matthew was especially helpful to understand the life of Jesus Christ and how Jesus' life was a fulfillment of the old testament prophecies. Provide at least 2 old testament prophecies and the fulfillment scripture from the book of Matthew.
5. What life lessons do we get from his life? How do you present Jesus to others?
