Bible Character Peter Search

Hebrew 11:13-15; 12:1-3

As we continue our character studies.. The Bible describes those who went before us as a great cloud of witnesses. The book of Hebrew only names a few, but we only actually have 13 weeks of research ahead of us. We will find that everyone that walked by faith did not make it in the final roll call list, just as all of us may not make it. We serve a God that is the same today, yesterday and forever more! Because of that, we should learn from their strength/weakness, serving, worshiping, and walking for God the same today, yesterday and forever more!

Peter

1.  Who is Peter and was he one of the original 12 disciples?  Provide scriptures in the New Testament.  What was the specific leadership role assigned to him in the early church?




2.  Was Peter apart of Jesus inter circle?  How was he described in the New Testament?  Could you find scripture in the New Testament that can prove your answer.






3.  Give details and scripture defining Peter's death.





4.  What were his strengths and accomplishments/weaknesses and mistakes? 






5. What life lessons do we get from his life?  Define the word disciple.  Are you one of Jesus disciples?
