Bible Character Job Search
Hebrew 11:13-15; 12:1-3
As we continue our character studies.. The Bible describes those who went before us as a great cloud of witnesses. The book of Hebrew only names a few, but we only actually have 27 weeks of research ahead of us. We will find that everyone that walked by faith did not make it in the final roll call list, just as all of us may not make it. We serve a God that is the same today, yesterday and forever more! Because of that, we should learn from their strength/weakness, serving, worshiping, and walking for God the same today, yesterday and forever more!
Job
1. Describe the instructions that God gave to Satan concerning Job. How did this affect Job and his family?
2. It is written in Proverbs 22:6, "Train up a child in the way he should go:
and when he is old, he will not depart from it.". Did Job operate in this principle?
3. How many friends did Job have that came to assist him during this time in his life? Did he receive good counsel from them. Explain your answer.
4. What were his strengths and accomplishments/weaknesses and mistakes?
5. What life lessons do we get from his life?
Bonus: Would you describe Job as a man of faith, from the beginning to the end of the book of Job?
