Bible Character Onesimus Search

Hebrew 11:13-15; 12:1-3

As we continue our character studies.. The Bible describes those who went before us as a great cloud of witnesses. The book of Hebrew only names a few, but we only actually have 3 weeks of research ahead of us. We will find that everyone that walked by faith did not make it in the final roll call list, just as all of us may not make it. We serve a God that is the same today, yesterday and forever more! Because of that, we should learn from their strength/weakness, serving, worshiping, and walking for God the same today, yesterday and forever more!

Onesimus

1.  What background information can you find about Onesimus:  What was his occupation?  List any family members mention in the New Testament.




2.  What was Onesimus relationship with Paul?  Give details and scriptures to support your answer. 






3.  How can you compare Onesimus' life story with your life?  For instance:  he was turned from slavery to sonship, he ran away from responsibility, and he was worth more than he could have ever know, from the beginning.  Can you relate?
