Bible Character Paul Search
Hebrew 11:13-15; 12:1-3
As we continue our character studies.. The Bible describes those who went before us as a great cloud of witnesses. The book of Hebrew only names a few, but we only actually have 1 week of research ahead of us. We will find that everyone that walked by faith did not make it in the final roll call list, just as all of us may not make it. We serve a God that is the same today, yesterday and forever more! Because of that, we should learn from their strength/weakness, serving, worshiping, and walking for God the same today, yesterday and forever more!
Paul
1. What background information can you find about Paul: What is his nationality? What school did he attend? List any family members mention in the New Testament. Who was his wife?
2. What was Paul name before his conversion? Give the meanings of his names before Christ and after Christ. Why was it important for his name to be changed?
3. Describe Paul's relationship with Jesus. How was he introduced to Jesus? What assignment did Jesus give to Paul? In other words, what was he called to do? How easy was it for him to do what he was called to do? Did he run or embrace it? Did everyone accept the changed man?
4. How many books did Paul write in the New Testament? In one of the books, he summarized his entire Ministry and all they he had been through. What scripture is that?
5. What were his strengths and accomplishments/weaknesses and mistakes?
6. What life lessons do we get from his live?
